Sheffield Wednesday stunned fans today by announcing the appointment of Darren Moore as their new manager.
The Owls parted ways with Tony Pulis in December, giving him just 10 matches in charge of the club.
More than two months on, Wednesday have finally found their new boss, and the announcement seemed to come from absolutely nowhere.
Local rivals Doncaster Rovers have been raided, with Moore now heading to Hillsborough with immediate effect.
Moore had a spell in the Championship with West Bromwich Albion, but has really rebuilt his reputation with Doncaster.
Donny have been impressive in League One under Moore, and Moore must now look to steady the ship at Wednesday after a tumultuous season.
Fans remain angry at owner Dejphon Chansiri, but former Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal has now called for everybody to be together after Moore’s appointment.
Carvalhal called for the critics of Chansiri to stop, sending a passionate message that everybody needs to get behind Moore in one last push to keep the club in the Championship, with the Portuguese boss still keeping close tabs on Wednesday despite currently being boss of Braga.
