Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri was in action for Sheffield Wednesday once again yesterday and he was left stunned by something that happened – or rather didn’t happen!
The youngster caught the eye last weekend with a post on X after his brother, Bailey, made his league debut for Wednesday. He claimed he was coming for his brother’s place, following his exploits with the under-14s.
Cadamarteri was in action for the young Owls yesterday as they played Manchester City. It’s not clear what the score was but it sounded as though it proved a frustrating afternoon for the younger Cadamarteri brother.
Cadamarteri airs frustrations on social media
It’s always a big day for the young lads when a club like Manchester City pop up on the fixture list. It will have been a game that every Wednesday youngster was up for given the size of the opposition.
Cadamarteri did manage to get two assists for his efforts and he posted videos of both on his post on X. However, he spoke of his frustration at not scoring and he couldn’t quite believe it.
It would appear that the talent is banging them in for the under-14s at the moment. He scored four against Stoke last weekend and surely, he will be back on the goal trail very soon.
Cadamarteri looks set for bright Wednesday future
The talented youngster is just starting out as a player. He has plenty of time to develop but given what his dad and brother achieved in the game, the excitement will build.
Cadamarteri will definitely be encouraged by watching his brother make his debut in the Championship. The 18-year-old looks like he’s set for a bright future and Wednesday fans will hope to see more of him.
Danny Rohl might be the perfect manager for Wednesday striker Cadamarteri. He is renowned for working with younger players and perhaps that will see him play more games in the coming weeks.
For Cadamarteri junior, the challenge is to just keep enjoying his football and banging in the goals for Wednesday. If he does that, he could shoot through the ranks within the academy.
