Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri could be set for a regular run in the first team.
The 18-year-old has been a regular for the U21 side this season, who are doing well this year, sitting in third position in their professional development league, seven points off league leaders and nearby rivals Sheffield United.
However, he was not part of the squad that took in Fleetwood Town on Tuesday afternoon, in a game which the Owls lost 2-1 at Middlewood Road.
This could potentially hint at Cadamarteri becoming a regular in the first team for manager Danny Rohl.
Cadamarteri could become regular for Rohl
Cadamarteri was given a Championship debut for Wednesday on Saturday. He was introduced at half-time during a 4-0 defeat over Millwall at Hillsborough.
It was a pretty impressive debut for the youngster and the scoreline was in no way impacted by anything that he did during his first league outing.
Wednesday will look to give Cadamarteri more game time when football resumes after the international break.
The talented player operates as a centre-forward and the next step now will be for him to grab his first goal for the Owls, as it looks like he may be given more chances to work under Rohl.
Wednesday do not have a game this weekend due to the international break, so it means Rohl may have more time to work with him.
Cadamarteri could be a shining light in what has so far been a very poor season for Wednesday, with them sat bottom of the Championship.
His younger brother Caelan-Kole has also been scoring a lot for the U14s, and sent a warning message to his older brother.
