The sure-fire sign for which many Sheffield Wednesday fans were waiting has finally arrived.
Wednesday have been strongly tipped to sign Connor Wickham and Josh Windass on deadline day.
And, according to The Star, Wickham was pencilled in for a medical this afternoon having opted to join the Owls on loan from Crystal Palace.
The same publication later claimed that the move for Windass was less straightforward, as it potentially involved Jordan Rhodes going in the opposite direction to Wigan Athletic.
And unlike that of Wickham, Windass’s Instagram was not being followed by Att Chansiri as of tea time this evening.

But that is no longer the case.
#SWFC-linked midfielder Josh Windass is now being followed by Owls chairman’s son on Twitter. Att Chansiri, who is already following reported S6 target Connor Wickham, previously let slip deals for Massimo Luongo and Alessio da Cruz this way. pic.twitter.com/3t7WW4WYeb

Chansiri, whose father Dejphon is the Wednesday chairman, let slip the signings of Massimo Luongo and Alessio da Cruz in the same manner.
And it is surely now a matter of time before both Wickham and Windass are announced as Owls players.
Wickham has featured often for Palace in recent weeks, but will soon have Christian Benteke for company again as the Belgian striker recovers from injury.

Windass, on the other hand, lost his place to Kieran Dowell this month, having made 15 appearances for Wigan across all competitions this season.
