Arsenal appear to let slip Eddie Nketiah's next club

Arsenal appear to have let slip Eddie Nketiah’s next club.

Nketiah was recalled from a loan spell at Leeds United at the start of this month and is being linked with temporary moves to Bristol City, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.

According to The Daily Mail, the striker’s decision was expected by today (Wednesday).

And on Tuesday, Arsenal’s website briefly listed Nketiah as being on loan at Bristol City, before removing the update.

Should Nketiah move to Bristol City, it would end a lengthy pursuit by Lee Johnson’s side, who are said to have come close to signing the 20-year-old before Leeds swooped in last summer.

The former Owls loanee Connor Wickham is another player linked with a loan to Hillsborough from Crystal Palace.

But it remains to be seen whether Garry Monk’s side would pursue a second recruit should Wickham or Nketiah join.

Any centre-forward additions could push the likes of Jordan Rhodes, Sam Winnall and Fernando Forestieri closer to the Wednesday exit door.

Winnall and Forestieri are each out of contract at the end of this season.
