The son of Sheffield Wednesday’s chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, has started following Queens Park Rangers’ Massimo Luongo on Instagram.

Luongo, a 26-year-old central midfielder, was not involved in QPR’s opening day win at Stoke City.

And according to The World Game in his native Australia, he will leave Loftus Road to join a mystery club for an undisclosed fee.

Wednesday’s caretaker manager Lee Bullen recently expressed a desire to strengthen in Luongo’s position.

And the Owls may finally have the funds to deliver Bullen’s wish after selling Lucas Joao to Reading, for a potential club-record fee, on Tuesday.

According to The World Game, Luongo, who was strongly linked with a move to Nottingham Forest earlier in the summer transfer window, is not expected to cost more than A$6 million (around £3.3m) after entering the final year of his QPR contract.

Sheffield Wednesday are also thought to be targeting a centre-back and a winger ahead of Thursday’s deadline for clubs in England’s top two divsions.
