Sheffield Wednesday host Middlesbrough in the Championship tonight.
Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough go up against each other in a real battle at the bottom of the Champisnhip table.
Michael Carrick’s Boro sit in last place and Xisco Munoz’s Wednesday sit in 23rd, with both teams having just one point to their names so far this season.
The Owls lost 1-0 at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday whilst Middlesbrough lost 2-1 at Blackburn Rovers, with both needing vital points in tonight’s game in South Yorkshire.
And offering his prediction for the game, former Sheffield Wednesday man and now Sky Sports pundit David Prutton gave his verdict, saying:
“This is a big battle at the bottom. Neither side has a win yet this season, and no side has scored fewer goals than the pair. It already feels like a crucial fixture.

“Sheffield Wednesday were expected to struggle, but for Middlesbrough last season must feel a very long way away. Michael Carrick needs to get a tune out of this side, and a win at Hillsborough could instill some belief back. But I think it will be a bit of a grind, and ultimately a draw.”
Prutton predicts a 0-0 scoreline.

‘A crucial fixture’…
Like Prutton says; this is a crucial fixture for both sides, with defeat here bound to pile even more pressure on either manager, and bound to spell trouble for them in the Championship this season.
Wednesday have the home advantage and Owls fans will be out in full force tonight to try and get their team over the line.
Expect Boro fans to travel well as well though, and expect Boro to utilise their squad depth to try and give themselves an edge over their opponents tonight.
This game looks like it has 1-0, or 0-0 written all over it. Neither side has any real attacking quality right now and these dog fights are often settled by the odd goal.
The game kicks off at 8pm tonight and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
