Sheffield Wednesday welcome Darren Moore and his new Huddersfield Town side tomorrow afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday host Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town in the Championship, in what is the Owls’ first game since the sacking of Xisco Munoz on Wednesday night.

Neil Thompson is in caretaker charge for this one. His temporary side sit in last place of the Championship and remain without a win this season, with just two points on the board.

Meanwhile, Moore took charge of Huddersfield last month after leaving Wednesday in the summer, and he’s since overseen tow draws and one defeat in his opening three games at the helm.

Who’s out for Sheffield Wednesday?

As per Yorkshire Live, Barry Bannan and Josh Windass look set to miss out and return after this month’s international break.

Elsewhere, Mallik Wilks could be in line to start after making his return vs West Brom in midweek, whilst Yorkshire Live also expect Mavin Johnson to be reinstated; though whether he is in time for tomorrow’s game remains to be seen.

Momo Diaby remains a longer-term absentee for the Owls.

Predicted line up

May are expecting Thompson to make some drastic changes to the side, with a team similar to last season’s expected to be deployed.

We could see the likes of Michael Ihiekwe reinstated and eventually Johnson, though Reece James at left-back looks more likely.

Attacking-wise it might not be so different to under Munoz, though Wilks starting could be a productive move should he be fit to do so, with his pace and power something that Wednesday have missed this season.
