We’re really getting into the business end of the season, and if Sheffield Wednesday are to triumph in their quest to survive in this division, they need to start winning games.

Unfortunately, their task doesn’t get any easier this weekend as they face Mick McCarthy’s resurgent Cardiff City side.

The Bluebirds have lost just twice in the league since McCarthy’s arrival in January, and while they were beaten last time out, this will still be a tough task.

In order to win this one, Darren Moore will have to get his team selection spot on, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Owls’ starting XI for the Cardiff match.

Usually, you’d expect there to be plenty of rotation when playing just three days after your last match, but with Wednesday in a desperate situation and nursing a number of injuries, they can’t afford to make that many changes.

We expect there to be just two switches in this one, with Kadeem Harris coming in for Callum Paterson and Liam Shaw coming in for Joey Pelupessy.

It’s business as usual for the rest of the team after the valiant performance against Watford on Friday.

Fingers crossed the result can be a little different this time around.
