Sheffield Wednesday head to Cardiff City in the Championship this weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday head to Wales tomorrow, where they’ll go in search of their first points of the 2023/24 Championship season.
So far, Xisco Munoz has seen his side lose to Southampton, hull City, and last time out, Preston North End.
But fans have witnessed some signs of improvements; in the Preston game in particular which was only narrowly won by Ryan Lowe’s side.
Cardiff have only one point to their name, having drawn against Leeds United on the opening day before then losing to QPR and Leicester City.
Sheffield Wednesday team news
The big injury news for Sheffield Wednesday is that Momo Diaby will be out until at least late next month, after suffering an injury on his debut v Preston last weekend.

Elsewhere in the first-team, Mallik Wilks appears to remain sidelined, with no news of a possible return date as of yet.

How will Wednesday line up?
Munoz seems persistent in his ways. He’s determined to get the Owls playing nice football and after seeng his side play out a decent game against Preston last weekend, he could be inclined to keep the same line up.
With Diaby out, we could see Barry Bannan drop deeper to replace him, with several options potentially able to play in the attacking midfield role including names like Josh Windass, or maybe even Ashley Fletcher who’s physicality could be utilised in that position.
It seems like that new signing Djeidi Gassama remains on the bench for this one.
Here’s how we expect the Owls to line up tomorrow:
