Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-0 away at Leicester City in the Championship tonight.
Sheffield Wednesday travelled to the King Power Stadium tonight, to face a Leicester City side who started the evening 11 points clear of Southampton in 2nd.
The Foxes have been the standout team in the league this season and that showed in the first half of tonight’s game.
Leicester scored after just four minutes when Will Vaulks was caught in possession inside the Owls‘ penalty box, owing to a poor pass from James Beadle, and Issahaku Fatawu put the ball in the back of the net.
Sheffield-born Jamie Vardy then added a second goal on 36 minutes with a neat finish from a simple, yet impressive play from Leicester.
The Owls looked much more impressive in the second half, having more possession and a couple of sights on goal, though they failed to really trouble Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen in the end.
So it was a tough night on the whole, but one player who stood out was Bailey Cadamarteri.

It was against Leicester City who Cadamarteri made his full debut against back in November.
He impressed that night, starting up front on his own and working hard to give Sheffield Wednesday some kind of outlet on the night.
And the case was the same once again.
Cadamarteri showed his raw strength and energy throughout, hanging onto the ball and trying to create whatever he could against a Leicester defence that never looked threatened.
And the 18-year-old caught the eye of Dom Howson tonight, who posted on X at half-time:
As per Sofascore, Cadamarteri won 1 out of 4 duels tonight, managing 11 touches and just 3 out of 4 passes on the night, showcasing his lack of actual time on the ball, but 2 defensive actions (1 interception and 1 clearance) showcased his defensive work tonight, before he was brought off on 66 minutes.
Cadamarteri’s role at Sheffield Wednesday is changing
Cadamarteri is still such a young player, with so much potential to fulfil and so much still to learn.
And it seems like Danny Rohl is also trying to figure out which role gets the most out of the Owls academy man.
At first it seemed like Cadamarteri was very much a poacher-type striker who is best kept inside the box, latching onto loose balls and whatnot.
But in the last few games, Cadamarteri has looked more like a target man.
He’s been the man winning aerial duels and holding up the play, as he did on occasion tonight, and he showed that he can play that role effectively.
So Rohl has a good young striker on his hands and one who can definitely be moulded into any kind of striker that the Sheffield Wednesday boss wants.
And if Rohl can make the right call, he could quickly have a very impressive player in Cadamarteri.
