Sheffield Wednesday should had one ‘excellent’ player a start next time out.
Sheffield Wednesday endured their fifth defeat in eight games last night, as they were beaten comfortably by Leicester City.
While their defence has been letting goals in for fun in recent weeks, their luck at the other end of the pitch hasn’t been great either.
The Owls have failed to score on four occasions over the last month, while they have only netted five goals since thrashing Cardiff City in the FA Cup in January.
Ian Poveda and Ike Ugbo both proved themselves in a stellar display against Birmingham City last week and earned themselves consecutive starts against the Foxes, meaning Anthony Musaba was forced to settle for a place on the bench for the second game in a row.
The ‘excellent’ Dutchman has started 18 games in the Championship this term, but hasn’t scored since he bagged three in four games before Christmas.
The Owls have been trying to mix things up in attack in their hunt for the frontline that will get them the goals needed to stay up, but their line-up against Leicester didn’t quite pay off.
Musaba was eventually brought on with half an hour to go and gave himself a brilliant opportunity to start in this weekend’s outing at Millwall.
Following the game, The Star journalist Alex Miller wrote: “[Musaba] forced a good save with an on-the-break effort with 20-odd minutes to go. Did so well to break on 78 minutes, showing skill and a turn of pace, but chose the wrong option in shooting with runners either side, which looked a bit daft. Certainly brought something onto the pitch.”

The winger was only on the pitch for 34 minutes but had a total of three shots, one successful dribble and also won a free-kick.
Meanwhile, Ugbo came off at half-time but managed only three passes, failed to have a single shot and made zero dribbles.
If Musaba is able to get rid of the ‘daft’ mistakes and decision-making, then he may provide one of Sheffield Wednesday’s biggest threats going forward.
He may only have four goals this term, but the 23-year-old has the second-most shots in the squad (36), the most successful dribbles (38) and the fourth-most key passes (19).
Danny Rohl needs to freshen things up against Millwall and bringing Musaba back into the picture certainly seems like a sensible idea.
Ugbo faced a spell on the sidelines before his arrival at Hillsborough so could potentially be rested, while Poveda could also struggle for fitness after playing only five minutes of senior football in the two months before his loan arrival.
