Sheffield Wednesday welcome Sunderland to Hillsborough for what promises to be another tough outing for the Owls, who remain winless in the Championship.
Xisco Munoz is desperate for a win to kickstart his tenure at Wednesday, who’ve managed to put just two points on the board so far.
Sunderland meanwhile are up in 5th. Tony Mowbray’s side won their last three before a surprise defeat vs Cardiff City last time out, so the Black Cats will be looking for a win tomorrow.
Who’s out for Sheffield Wednesday?
Momo Diaby remains sidelined for Wednesday, and looks set to be missing for the next few weeks at the least.
Elsewhere, Yorkshire Live say that attacker Mallik Wilks is making good progress and could even be on the bench for tomorrow night’s game.
Youngster Bailey Cadamarteri has been training with the first-team this week but Munoz says he won’t be involved against Sunderland tomorrow night.
How will the Owls line up?
Something’s got to give for Sheffield Wednesday. Munoz keeps chopping and changing to find the right formation for his side, but it doesn’t seem like the formation is what’s wrong; it’s the selection.
We could expect to see another sort of 5-3-2/5-2-2-1 formation for Sheffield Wednesday with Devis Vasquez keeping his place in goal, despite criticism vs Swansea City last tome out.
Elsewhere, fans may hope to see the likes of Michael Ihiekwe and Reece James return to the line up, though it’s difficult to see Munoz dropping both Bambo Diaby and Juan Delgado.
Anthony Musaba will hopefully continue up front alongside one of Lee Gregory or Michael Smith, though who might partner Barry Bannan in the middle remains to be seen; neither Jeff Hendrick or John Buckley have impressed as of yet.
