Sheffield Wednesday are being linked with a move for the Kilmarnock defender, Stuart Findlay (Daily Mail).
But what should those of a Wednesday persuasion know about their prospective new recruit?
SWN has the lowdown…
What type of player is he?
Findlay is usually found in the left-side centre-half position, but has been used at left-back in his time. At 6ft 3, he is perhaps more suited to the former role. And the 23-year-old is a real force in the air – chipping in with around three goals a season for Killie so far.

Whose place could be at risk if he joins?
Jordan Thorniley and Joost van Aken (anyone remember him?) are the players most likely to be affected should Wednesday move for Findlay – whose arrival would surely signal the end of the club’s Michael Hector pursuit. Daniel Pudil is on course to be released regardless.

He’s played with a few Owls players before…
Rolando Aarons and Achraf Lazaar were teammates at Newcastle United, where Findlay spent two years on the books, while Gary Hooper was still a Celtic player when the Scot was coming through the ranks in Glasgow.
And currently plays with the manager’s son…
Alex Bruce, who joined Findlay at Rugby Park in January. However, the Scotland Under-21 international is keeping him out of the team at present.

How much would he cost the Owls?
The Daily Mail claims Wednesday are willing to pay £1 million for Findlay, who has two years left on his contract. However, some Killie fans believe he is worth a lot more than that. The Owls could struggle to afford him either way.
