Cardiff City supporters are reacting to reports linking Aden Flint with a move to Sheffield Wednesday, among other clubs.
Football Insider claims Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers are plotting moves for the Cardiff defender Flint ahead of Friday’s deadline for domestic transfers.
The Bluebirds are reported to have paid around £6 million for the 31-year-old last summer, but he last appeared in a competitive fixture on New Year’s Day – a 6-1 defeat against QPR.
And, as far as the following Cardiff fans are concerned, the decision to exclude him is justified…

I like to think that if Cardiff do move Aden Flint on, it will be permanently rather than on loan, and if he does leave, he’ll need to be replaced, so hopefully Dion Sanderson would be a consideration because he can cover two positions

We ought move Flint and Marlon Packhorse on. The pair of them are garbage.

Aden Flint is “miles better” than any CB we have playing now? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Flint is a very average player, £6m was a huge waste.
He’s not getting in our team because we have better, simple as that.
You’ll be disappointed. https://t.co/2tRLeSv3aV

Flint’s centre-half position is not one in which Wednesday are obviously looking to strengthen this week, with wing-back and centre-forward their rumoured priorities.

The Owls – who recently acquired Flint’s old teammate Callum Paterson from Cardiff – have already added Chey Dunkley to their options at the heart of defence, which also include Dominic Iorfa, Tom Lees, Joost van Aken and Julian Borner.
Their need for reinforcements could increase, however, if reports of interest in Iorfa are followed up.
Flint was born just down the M1 from Sheffield in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire.
