Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to an update on the future of Osaze Urhoghide.
The defender has made a real impact at Wednesday this term since coming into the first-team, but unfortunately, his contract is up in the summer.
The Owls have had problems when it comes to keeping hold of their talented young players, namely Liam Shaw who looks set to depart the Yorkshire club for Celtic at the end of the season.
Urhoghide has been offered a new deal at the Steel City outfit, but he’s yet to put pen to paper and there is also interest from elsewhere.
As you can imagine, this news had Wednesday fans talking.
Sadly, a number of supporters seem to believe he’ll be leaving the club this summer due to the fact other clubs are interested.
To be fair, we can understand why Owls supporters may believe this. Shaw looks set to leave and as much as we hate to say it, Wednesday aren’t in the best of positions at the moment.
Whether or not Urhoghide decides to stay remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say that the fanbase aren’t hopeful.
