Some Sheffield Wednesday fans are praying that Massimo Luongo will return against Luton Town.
Luongo has failed to appear since Wednesday’s 5-0 defeat against Blackburn Rovers last month, when he was wrongly sent off.
But despite a successful appeal, injury has robbed the Owls of the Australian’s services for four successive league and cup matches.

Wednesday have won just one of those games – the only one in which their other combative midfielder Sam Hutchinson has featured.
And with Hutchinson’s absence officially unexplained, the following Wednesday fans are placing all of their eggs in Luongo’s basket as they seek a return to winning ways at Kenilworth Road.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Barnsley, Garry Monk said Luongo was ’50-50′ to be fit for Oakwell.
The Sheffield Wednesday manager made an identical claim about Morgan Fox, but the left-back was again absent last time out, along with the central midfielder Kieran Lee.
Wednesday can climb four places to eighth if they win at Luton, who prop up the table and are 10 points adrift of safety.
The Owls have failed to beat either of the three teams directly above Luton – Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Stoke City – since Christmas.
