Some Sheffield Wednesday fans on social media have been discussing Josh Windass’ performance against Luton Town.

What can we really say about Saturday’s performance against Luton? It was a complete Jekyll and Hyde showing from the Owls, throwing away a 2-0 lead against the Hatters, eventually going down 3-2.

Even the most optimistic Wednesday fan would find it hard to find a positive from this game, but some Wednesdayites did have good things to say about Windass.

The striker did about all you could ask him to, he netted twice in the first-half, and the majority of the time you’d expect a first-half brace to be enough to win you the game and secure you the Man of the Match award.

Of course, it didn’t quite work out like that in the end, but Owls supporters were unwilling to criticise Windass for his showing against Luton.

Every single Wednesday player on the pitch on Saturday could easily find an area where they need to improve, but it’s hard to say the same about a number nine who found the back of the net twice.

His brace wasn’t enough today, but if he puts in this type of performance every week it surely can’t be long until Wednesday start winning games.

Here’s what the Hillsborough faithful have been saying on social media…
