Some Sheffield Wednesday supporters are reacting on Twitter to a free transfer signing made by Newcastle United on Monday.
After weeks of speculation, the former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser was finally unveiled as a Newcastle player.
✍️ #NUFC are thrilled to announce the signing of Ryan Fraser on a five-year deal!
Welcome, Ryan! 🏴👊

Fraser’s arrival came hot on the heels of that of his ex-Bournemouth teammate Callum Wilson, who moved to St James’ Park for £20 million.
There had been talk of another Newcastle winger, Matt Ritchie, being included as a makeweight in the Wilson deal.
But Ritchie remains a Newcastle player.
He and Fraser are two of at least seven options available to the Magpies’ former Wednesday manager Steven Bruce, alongside Allan Saint-Maximin, Miguel Almiron, Christian Atsu and the two ex-Owls loanees Rolando Aarons and Jacob Murphy.

Murphy, in particular, left a lasting impression on those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion, having scored or assisted 15 goals in 44 games for Garry Monk’s side last season.
And Monk has made no secret of his desire to re-sign the £12m man, should he become available.
Murphy has impressed for Newcastle this pre-season but, after the 25-year-old had Fraser added to his list of competitors, the following Owls fans are feeling optimistic – even if he is said to have interest from a string of Wednesday’s Championship rivals as well as clubs north of the border…
Can we have Jacob Murphy please?
