Brentford supporters are reacting to reports one of their former players has joined Sheffield Wednesday for pre-season training.
According to the Star, the midfielder Josh McEachran flew out to Portugal on Friday and was due to take part in the Owls’ Saturday morning session.
McEachran – who came through the ranks at Chelsea, a couple of years below the Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson – was among the players released by Brentford at the end of last season.

And the Owls have already agreed a deal to sign another of those, the right-back Moses Odubajo.

Whether or not McEachran will follow remains to be seen, however. And the 26-year-old’s chances are likely to hinge on how well he performs in the coming few days.
But according to the following Brentford fans, their Sheffield Wednesday counterparts should not get their hopes up…
Complete wet lettuce of a player, struggles to last past 60mins which is a mystery because doesn’t bust a gut effort wise.

He is the biggest mercenary in championship football. I hate dogging the geezer but his turn it on and off attitude was so fustrating to watch and embarrassing. In other words he is a sicko

“We really gave it a go”… yes signed for 4 years, never really turned up. Expect Wednesday to talk about “great potential”…. yawn

No not really and demands high wages too. Gifted you a goal when we played you at Hillsborough if I remember correctly

Wednesdayites may, however, wish to take opinions such as these with a pinch of salt.
It is worth noting that Watford fans, for example, were gutted to lose Almen Abdi to the Owls.
But the Swiss midfielder was released at the end of last season, having appeared just 23 times in three years at Hillsborough.
