Remy Reynierse has remained at Sheffield Wednesday, despite this month’s departure of the man who brought him to Sheffield Wednesday – Jos Luhukay.
Some of the more eagle-eyed Owls supporters may have already spotted Reynierse on the sidelines against Preston, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion, although it took until Lee Bullen’s post-Baggies press conference for others (in other words, me) to realise.

A former youth coach for PSV Eindhoven and the Netherlands national team, Reynierse was made number two to Luhukay shortly after the latter’s arrival in January – having played with and worked under his compatriot (who, for whatever reason, failed to make any other external appointments) at VVV Venlo and VFB Stuttgart, respectively.
And that the 56-year-old failed to follow Luhukay out of Hillsborough, and is now supporting Bullen’s post-Jos regime, is certainly interesting (and perhaps makes yet more damning reading for Wednesday’s unpopular ex-boss).

Although, whether Reynierse – or Bullen, for that matter – will be part of the next man’s network remains to be seen.
