Those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion may want to keep an eye on Sheffield United’s game at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening.
The fourth-versus-second clash is being screened live on Sky Sports after Wednesday’s visit of Swansea City.
And a booking at the Hawthorns would see arguably United’s most influential player – besides perhaps Billy Sharp – miss next month’s Derby at Hillsborough.
Oliver Norwood has scored or assisted nine goals in 30 league outings for the Blades this season, but has also accrued an identical number of yellow cards.
And a 10th for the Sheffield United midfielder ahead of next month’s amnesty, will result in a two-match ban, effective immediately.
Considering some of United’s other dangermen, hoping that Norwood is not available at Hillsborough is perhaps clutching at straws.
But Wednesday certainly stand a better chance without having to face the former Brighton player.
Similarly, the Owls’ Barry Bannan must avoid being booked twice in the upcoming games against Swansea and Brentford to avoid missing Sheffield United’s visit and the subsequent trips to Derby County and Bolton Wanderers.
