All eyes were on Gary Hooper as the striker continued his comeback for a Sheffield Wednesday XI against Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.
But while Hooper marked his appearance with a goal, it was another, less experienced, player who made arguably the biggest impression at Middlewood Road.
Alex Hunt made his first-team debut, perhaps prematurely, against Sunderland at the start of this season.

However, the slightly-built midfielder did not look quite so out of place (at all, in fact) against a Scunny side containing several experienced professionals – scoring one and creating two of the Owls’ goals in a 5-1 win.

And if displays like that one are anything to go by, it may not be long until Hunt is handed another opportunity at senior level.
