Some Sheffield Wednesday fans are urging Steve Bruce to promote one of the Owls’ Under-23 team players before the season’s end.
Wednesday’s hopes of a play-off finish are slim at best following Saturday’s defeat at Leeds United.
And with Bruce having promised chances to every player he inherited from Jos Luhukay in January, he could opt to experiment with one or two of those yet to feature in the final weeks of the campaign.

One face some of an Owls persuasion are keen to see is that of Preslav Borukov – the Bulgarian striker who scored both goals as the U23s beat QPR on Monday.

Any chance of him getting a look in to the first team season?

Borukov has surely got to be near the first team by now?

How likely it is that Borukov will feature this season remains to be seen, however.
The teenager is currently behind six strikers – Steven Fletcher, Gary Hooper, Lucas Joao, Fernando Forestieri, Atdhe Nuhiu and Sam Winnall – in the pecking order at Hillsborough.
