The former Bolton academy striker De’Marlio Brown-Sterling has played in each of Wednesday’s last two under-23 team fixtures.

But it remains to be seen whether the Owls – who are operating an ‘open door’ policy with regards to trialist forwards – will look to sign Brown-Sterling on a full-time basis.

Some of the following Bolton fans would have kept him on nonetheless.

The former Notts County winger Kieran Cummings is the latest free agent to have turned out for the Sheffield Wednesday development side, after Okera Simmonds (ex-Accrington Stanley), Callum Huxley (ex-Wrexham), Colin Odutayo (ex-Aston Villa), Marley Blair (ex-Burnley), Giovanni McGregor (ex-Crystal Palace) and Korede Adedoyin (ex-Everton), who was later awarded a permanent contract.
