Bolton Wanderers supporters are reacting on Twitter to news that a player they released in the summer is on trial at Sheffield Wednesday.
The former Bolton academy striker De’Marlio Brown-Sterling has played in each of Wednesday’s last two under-23 team fixtures.
But it remains to be seen whether the Owls – who are operating an ‘open door’ policy with regards to trialist forwards – will look to sign Brown-Sterling on a full-time basis.
The recently-turned 19-year-old featured on four occasions for the Bolton first team, but was left in limbo after the Trotters’ decided to drop to category three academy status and disband their U23 side at the end of last season.
Some of the following Bolton fans would have kept him on nonetheless.
