Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs ‘very keen’ on loaning the young Everton winger, Josh Bowler, according to Teamtalk.
The website claims Everton are set to hand Bowler a new long-term contract before sending him to the Championship this coming campaign.
But Wednesday, it adds, are not at the front of the queue, with Middlesbrough said to be ‘leading the chase’ for the 20-year-old.

Interestingly, The Star reports that Middlesbrough are one of the clubs set to be beaten by Sheffield Wednesday in the pursuit of another winger, Kadeem Harris.

Bowler moved to Everton two years ago in a deal that, according to Teamtalk, could be worth £4.25 million with add-ons.
But the right-sided player has yet to appear for Everton’s first team, despite having impressed at under-23 level.

The Sheffield Wednesday manager, Steve Bruce, has enjoyed plenty of success when it comes to loaning young Premier League players.
Nicklas Bendtner (Birmingham), Isaac Hayden (Hull) and Axel Tuanzebe (Aston Villa) are among those to have experienced their first proper taste of senior football under Bruce.
