Sheffield Wednesday fans are being asked for their verdicts following reports that Stoke City are favourites to sign one of their former players.
Teamtalk reports that Stoke are in pole position to land Morgan Fox, who has been linked with a string of rival Championship clubs after his Wednesday contract expired last month.
Fox began the season out of favour at Hillsborough and was booed by some Owls fans during their 1-0 win against Luton last August.
But the Welshman, when fit, was an almost ever-present from the middle of October onwards, winning around many of his detractors during that time.
Or so we thought…
This is what those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion are saying about Fox on Twitter…
Improved last season and would probably give a 6/10 most games. He got singled out by our fans quite a bit. Steady but not spectacular for a full back, lacks pace and prone to mistakes.

Used to get booed off and on by our fans at home, this season he improved a lot and was one of the few consistent players and managed to get the fans back on his side and always gave 110%, but then he fucked off and couldn’t be arsed to help the team after lockdown.

Awful first season, decent second, really good third season.
Does nothing exciting but very steady and arguablely a top end championship player with a really good attitude by all accounts. Will be a great signing for someone— itsslimupnorth (@itsslimupnorth) July 24, 2020
A joke player for the first 3/4 of his time with us.
Then dug in and became one of the first names on the team sheet.
The fact that he wouldn’t sign a contract extension to cover the end of the season says a lot about his character tho.
No great loss for us. Will do ok.

He gets caught out of position quite a bit and lack of pace means he struggles against most wingers. Did improve a lot last season and you can never fault his effort. Okay signing for someone in champ.

Bang average player linked with bang average teams.

SAKA, ANTONY AND 10 PREMIER LEAGUE STARS HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP
Fox could team up with another former Wednesday player on Stoke’s left side next season, with Chris Brunt admitting this week that he is open to a reunion with his former Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill at the Bet 365 Stadium.
Brunt is out of contract at West Bromwich Albion this summer, and looks set to move on after he helped the Baggies back to the Premier League.
